Founded and curated by Gary Stallman in 2016, emkan stays true to the artists it works with, from first mix to final delivery.

The label collaborates on each selected work, focusing on quality, warmth and truth. Mixing, mastering, artwork and visuals are available in-house at the artist's request.

Masters belong to the artist from the start. No upfront fees. Costs are recouped, then all revenue is shared equally.

emkan takes no part in artist management, booking or release promotion. Artists are free to build their audience, perform and market their material as they see fit.
